Assassin's Creed was first released in 2007 and has gone on to spawn over twenty releases on various platforms. The games pit the Assassin's against the Templars in a fictional battle across a variety of historical backdrops. It is Ubisoft's best-selling franchise and is also one of the best selling video game franchises of all time.
